My abstract paintings are a way of expressing deeply felt experiences through the exploration of colour, light and texture.

I build up layers intuitively through a process of adding and subtracting until the visual elements balance and the image feels alive - until it reaches a final form that does justice to the initial inspiration.

The painting evolves slowly and guides me through many stages to a final image and it is this journey of exploration, searching and discovery that I love.

This is the reason I keep painting.
