Two years ago I gave my grandchildren a small painting each for Christmas, not sure what they would think of it as they were quite young - between four and nine. They did seem to like them - at least their parents did - and now my daughter has been asking me for a slightly larger painting for another wall in her little girl's room. It should be similar to the first one and that means, that it should be of flowers and it should be pretty - but luckily it is no longer necessary that it be pink!
She turns six in December so I have been having fun with this one and plan on giving it to her for her birthday - I do hope she will like it, but to be safe I better get her another little thing! The title is simply "Happy Birthday Maddie" and it is 12 x 16".
Otherwise I have finished these two as part of the Vagabond series and I have the feeling that they may be the end of it, at least for now:
I am quite happy with them as a pair - not a diptych - just two individual pieces that look as if they should stay together; the colors are much richer in real life - each is 36 x 12". I may continue with this series in a while, but feel that a pause will be best so I don't keep repeating myself; I can look at it a little later with fresh eyes and decide where to go from here.
I enjoyed the little flower painting, so maybe a few more along those lines are on the way, who knows? Time will tell.
And now I wonder why on earth this won't share to FaceBook as it usually does???????????????
Wish I knew.
